P3: Psalms, Proverbs, and Prophets
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”
Psalm 91:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
I found my stomach tied up in knots again. This wasn’t the first time. It seems to happen more and more lately. My mind kept going to all that I wasn’t doing, and couldn’t fix. Then I heard the words: “Where do I dwell?” My face broke into a smile. That was the answer! I had asked the Lord what He wanted me to see in Psalms 91. I had memorized it and prayed it so many times. “Father, I know that we are taken care of and are under your watch, but what do you want me to see?” Today, I heard what He said. It was more than a physical protection; it was also mental state. Where were my thoughts dwelling, living, focusing on, residing? Were they in the past hurts, the current failures and misgivings? In all that I can accomplish or make happen?
At all times, I am to be dwelling on who God is, what He can do and who He is in me.
“God, you are our refuge, and fortress. In YOU we trust.”
